Yes. The OX Edge TS-431B is a dual-access lock. You can open it with your 4-digit combination or use the included owner key as a backup access method.

If you forget your combination, you can use the included owner key to open the OX Edge TS-431B. Once the lock is open, you can follow the normal reset procedure to set a new 4-digit code. Keep at least one owner key in a separate safe place when traveling.

Locks purchased in the same OX Edge package are keyed alike, so the included owner keys work with the locks in that set. Do not assume that a key from a separately purchased OX Edge package will open another set.

The OX Edge TS-431B uses a parallel-press reset system. Open the lock with the current code, rotate the shackle 180 degrees until it is parallel with the lock body, press the shackle down gently, set your new 4-digit code, then pull the shackle back up and return it to the locking position. For detailed instructions, see our How to Set Forge TSA Lock guide.

The OX Edge TS-431B uses a rigid hardened-steel shackle measuring 0.13 in in diameter with approximately 0.98 in of vertical clearance. The lock body measures 1.3 × 2.72 × 0.55 in. Check the opening size and surrounding clearance of your zipper pulls, case, locker, or other attachment point before purchasing.

No. TSA inspection access does not change your personal 4-digit combination. Airport security can use the TSA006 inspection system to open and re-lock the lock without knowing or changing your code.

Keyed alike means that every OX lock in the same package can be opened with any of the keys included in that package. This makes it easier to manage multiple locks without carrying a separate key for each one.

Do not assume that keys from a separately purchased OX package will open locks from another set. Keyed-alike compatibility applies to the locks and keys supplied together in the same package. Keep at least one original key from each set in a separate safe place.

TSA006 identifies the inspection key system used by the OX 15011. You use the included dimple key for normal access, while authorized airport security can use the compatible TSA inspection system to open and re-lock the lock during baggage screening.

The OX 15011 uses a compact rigid steel shackle designed for many suitcase zipper pulls, backpacks, travel bags, briefcases, and compatible locker openings. Because attachment points vary in size and shape, check the opening and surrounding clearance before purchasing.

Keep at least one included key in a separate safe place whenever possible. If you lose your keys, replacement keys are available for the Forge OX Series, but the replacement must match your lock rather than simply using a key from another OX package.
