TSA008 4-Digit Luggage Lock with Open Alert (Optimus Series, Black Pack)

Much better than a two pack I received a few days ago from a different brand. Easy to set up. Super clear instructions. Fits my suitcase very well! Would highly recommend for security while traveling.

Lock works very well on my old luggage set. See the blue lock. Love that it has 4 numbers combo. See my old brass locks which i've had for 30 yrs (non tsa approved). Now they won't cut my lock at tsa. Great product. Cable well attached. Easy to setup combination.

The materials used are heavy gauge, and they just have the look and feel that give me comfort in knowing my possessions are secured. And the long cable shackle is perfect for cases that have a wide flange which would prohibit use by the typical travel lock.Easy to set up with your own personal combination, and easy to change should you ever desire to do so.Perfect for my intended use, and speedy delivery. It locks your crap

I recently purchased this two set of Forge TSA008 locks for a multi-leg international trip, and they provided much-needed peace of mind while navigating busy airports. I used these specifically for my checked luggage and a carry-on backpack. The 100% zinc alloy body feels significantly sturdier than the cheap plastic locks I've used in the past, and they survived several rough baggage handling transfers without a scratch. The standout feature for me is the Open Alert Indicator. After landing, a quick glance at the lock lets you know if a TSA agent used their master key to open your bag; a red button pops up if it's been accessed. This allowed me to immediately check my belongings before even leaving the baggage claim area. Setting the 4-digit combination was straightforward, and the dials have a satisfying "click" that makes them easy to align, even in dim lighting.Pros:? I like this TSA approved lock for your luggage. It works well by locking the zipper through the big holes, but the cable will fit through the small holes that interlock the zippers, but it's a little harder to get off. I would recommend this lock.

I��m overall satisfied with these locks. I was a bit hesitant at first being that I��ve never heard of this brand, but after seeing so many positive reviews I decided to try them out, and I��m glad I did. I got them specifically for my gun case and they are perfect for it. It��s very easy to set up your own combination, you just have to make sure you write it down somewhere in case you forget. I have it locked on my iPhone notes. These will be my go to for the next handgun case I get.

It was very easy to change the combination to my desired numbers. The shackle is about 2" long and flexible. I wanted a lock to secure both zipper pulls together on my golf shipping bag. This worked perfectly. I don't think a solid shackle would have worked as well. It is TSA accessable if need be on checked luggage, so they can open the lock and resecure it without damage to the lock. Very happy with the product and the price.

Perfect lock for my Airbnb storage closet! The 4-digit combination is easy to set. It feels really sturdy and secure, and the open alert indicator is a nice touch. Numbers are easy to read and turn! I love that they come in the color black to match my black bag. They're very easy to open and they are very functionable. It's also very easy to change the combination when you need to. You could use these locks in any other place that you need to as well. But this is where I choose to use them. The numbers are big enough. I don't have to put my glasses on to see them to open them up.

Used these TSA 4 digit combo locks for our 2 week backpacking trip thru Japan. This held up pretty well to our fairly abusive use. Highly recommend it.Also the longer cable allows you to push it thru difficult zipper holes or tie down spots.

Very sturdy, easy to operate luggage locks. There is no key, only a re-set able 4 digit combination lock. The covered braided wire at the top loops thru your luggage zipper tabs. It is TSA approved, so if they need in the bag, they can use their universal key to unlock it. There is supposed to be an indicator to let you know they have opened your bag, but I am unable to verify that. They are a bit heavy. It will add to the weight of your bag.

I have used a lot of TSA locks , some opened with keys , others with number lock, others built into the luggage. This is the first one that I have seen that has 4 numbers instead of the usual 3 numbers . This makes it more difficult to open as there is 10,000 combination codes as compared to a thousand for the 3 number locks. It also uses the latest TSA008 key which is a unique round one that cannot be duplicated. I admit I own the TSA 002 and TSA 007 keys which I purchased when I forgot my combination number on one of my luggage. One other thing that separates this from the other TSA Locks is the built in red indicator that pops up when a TSA agent opens the lock with a TSA 008 key. This tells you that your luggage has been inspected. Overall, highly recommended not only for the new features but it is also solidly built and easy to set up.

The Forge TSA Approved Luggage Lock is well-built and trustworthy. Instructions for setting your own combination are simple, but a very short video is also available if you need it. I particularly like how the cable is plastic-covered to protect whatever you put it on and the combination numbers can be moved backward or forward. This lock also features a red button that pops up to indicate when TSA has inspected your luggage. The feel of this lock and the easy-to-use design tell me this is a great value product.

These locks are quite heavy - I usually hate to put luggage through check, but when you do and you have a zipper suitcase, having a TSA lock is a good thing to have.Does it really deter thieves? I am not sure. I have put on luggage straps and they were stolen when they came through the check baggage. Will luggage handlers steal things? Maybe. I never check anything of worth.That being said, these little locks have quite heavy bodies and the spinning numbers worked easily for me. The coated wires are thin enough to fit through zipper pulls.There are some pretty cool features in this lock including the open - alert - letting you know if the TSA opened the bag, as well as forcing them to relock it in order to get their key out. Those extra features make this a good option if you are looking for a TSA zipper pulls lock.
