These are good looking, solidly-constructed padlocks that work as intended. The numbers are easy to see, the locks can be opened by either key or number combination, they're a perfect size for smaller needs like cabinets, lockboxes, some types of luggage, etc. There's really nothing to complain about here - I think these will be quite durable and last a long time.

These Sure Lock (TSA Approved) 4-digit combination locks perform beautifully whether you prefer using a numeric combination or a physical key entry. I put them to the test on the rolling bag that accompanies me on all my travels, and the security they provide is excellent. In my particular case, the conjoining zipper holes on my luggage were a bit too narrow to thread the shackle directly through. However, the fit was not an issue at all... I simply utilized the combined tab holes of the zippers instead, and the lock attached perfectly. You receive a 2-pack of these units, making it incredibly convenient to secure multiple pieces of baggage or carry-on items simultaneously.The structural material feels rugged and exceptionally sturdy, giving the impression of long-term durability that can handle the rough transit of standard travel. The smooth dial rotation and clear clicking mechanism provide great ease of use when unlocking. Given that you get a dual-entry mechanism alongside two independent locking units, the overall quality represents a fantastic value for money. I am happy to give these a full 5-star rating. These are sturdy secure locks. Excellent value and quality. They are durable and fit in smaller spaces without feeling less secure. I immediately put these in my camper because you always need locks on the road for your kayaks, bikes, surge protector etc. They were easy to set and I like that they also have the key option so if you forget the combo or lose a key there are multiple ways to unlock these. They are a durable material and I felt secure leaving things locked at my campsite.

These TSA locks are a bit heavier than most of my other ones. It has an indicator if it has been opened, which is nice, although I always forget to check. It comes with keys, which only work with these type of locks and not the smaller ones as I was hoping. It is easy to set the combo and use. The lock itself is heavier than others and it feel pretty heavy duty. I don't know that it is more secure than the others, but it is thicker, which might make it too large to fit on some smaller zippers, but would work well securing hard cases.These are almost double the price of most other locks and although they come with keys that isn't really worth it for me.

These locks are very heavy weight and beefy. The shackle on the lock is about 5/32". At that size it will not fit some average sized luggage. I have some older Samsonite bags that will not fit this shackle. Keep that in mind when looking at these locks. The locks are also heavy at .37 pounds each, which is considerable when you are paying for luggage by the pound at an airport. I think that these locks would be great to lock a set of golf clubs, but not for standard luggage.

I ordered this lock for dual use: traveling and home. Travelers should beware that this lock is rather heavy and bulky compared to a standard luggage lock, and is best used for larger bulk items like large equipment cases or chests. For home use, the use cases are much more varied.The lock has a hefty feel and on all accounts, feels and looks like a great build-quality. One of the key features (pardon the pun) is the dual key / combination lock, which makes this lock easy to use. Setting the combination is easy as well, using a master switch on the side of the lock to set a new combination.Security-wise, this lock is advertised as something good for gun lockers, gates, and other home / everyday use. I would place a caveat on that use-case, as anyone with access to a TSA master key can easily open this lock in an instant. That doesn't degrade the utility of this lock in all cases, as it's great for home use as a deterrent from easy access for most people.While I feel the price is a bit high, In all I think this is a solid lock that is easy to use, looks great, and has it's place in the market.

These seem like very reliable, heavy duty locks. They're easy to set up, and the combination is reprogrammable. And no, you cannot reset the combination if you don't know the original combination. The keys are a great Plan B for Forgetful Joneses like me. However, that's not necessarily a good thing. I got the 2-pack which came with 2 locks and 2 sets of keys for each lock. Both sets of keys can open either lock, which makes me think that anyone with the same exact lock and key can open any of these locks with their key. Will have to ask manufacturer about this and update this review. In any case, I still think these locks are great for a variety of lockable stuff. I think it's a bit too big for luggage (I have the smaller version of this brand without keys which is fantastic for luggage and smaller items). Currently using this one for my backyard gate. No sign of wear or rust as of yet. It's more expensive than I would like, but the quality is there. Yes, I would recommend this product, although I would be careful using this for super important or expensive items because of the key situation.Update: Emailed the manufacturer. They responded within a few hours which I'm happy about. They said their locks are produced in small batches and keys are unique to each batch. So while a batch may have the same key code, it is unlikely for one to encounter a key from the same exact batch. Phew!

This is a combination lock that does come with two TSA keys to use if needed. It has four tumblers to set four numbers in a row. That's very easy to use. It says it's a heavyweight lock. I agree! This lock weighs 7 ounces which is just short of a half pound! This is a heavyweight lock. Not sure if I would use it on luggage because it adds a lot of weight. I would use it on a locker or on some kind of a lock box. I do believe it will last forever.

Recently had to travel internationally and about a week before I had to go, I checked to see where the locks were and found that my wife had used all of the ones I had on her luggage. I needed 2 locks and found these so ordered them. The came in really quick and helped me accomplish what I needed. The size is perfect as they don't seem too big or obvious and they seem to do the job well. The combination is spot on, feels smooth and not rough, extremely easy to use and very simple to store without losing them. I think for the efficiency and quality, these locks are priced well and I did order some more locks that were priced a little more than this but returned them due to poor quality. This is one of the rare instances where price is not an indication of quality. These are a definite must have if you travel.

Great Gun Case Locks!

I normally don't lock my bags because TSA likes to look in my bags a lot. Go figure. However, I was carrying some things of value and didn't want the bag unlocked so I needed keys that TSA could unlock without knowing the actual code. These locks can be opened with a key or the programmable 4-digit code. Since it can be a key TSA has the necessary keys to open the locks to inspect the bags. These worked perfectly. Now keep in mind that pretty much no lock is going to keep out a determined thief, but they will slow people down and, in this case, make it harder for someone behind the security perimeter to steal something without your knowledge.
